Ah Homestarrunner; your innocence and cluelessness has lead to a cult following thanks to the wonderful works of the Brothers Chaps (more accurately, Mike and Matt Chapman and their team). Your "family friendly" cartoons brought both pop culture references and humor together into one. Your disappearance in 2010 left many to wonder if you'll ever return. Alright, I'm fully aware of what's been happening with Homestarrunner.com. The "return" this past April with a cartoon really caught everyone off guard (myself included) and began the thinking process of whether this was a one time deal or not. Well, in my opinion it is yes and no. The yes part lies in the fact that a few more toons appears 6 months later. This also tells me that the team at Homestarrunner.com is making cartoons that exceed their previous works (which probably explains the lengthy time frame between cartoons), and I find this a good thing because it gives the team (actually, ANY animation studio, independent or otherwise) more time to do their work and put in extra touches before posting online. The no part indicates that the team is probably only doing this once in an infrequent flyer mile, and they'll post more when we least expect it. I can say that the Brothers Chaps probably want to do this so that they can let their fans know that the Homestar Runner universe isn't dead (after all, their success allowed them to put the website on hiatus so that they can do other projects for other companies).
