Royal Rumble 1990 took place on January 21, 1990 at Orlando's Orlando Arena. Of all the Royal Rumbles thus far (in my opinion), this has the weakest set of matches ever (not counting the Royal Rumble match itself). Did any of the matches bring anything to the table? NO! I thought MOST of the matches were really, REALLY, REALLY terrible! Did I like ANY of the matches before the main event itself? Well, sort of. The only match I thought that was at least decent was the submission match between Ron Garvin and Greg "The Hammer" Valentine. This was a showcase of getting to see who would submit first and I like it. And both competitors did a good job of keeping the match interesting enough to make it watchable. The Royal Rumble match itself (of course) is what makes the event exciting. The lineup I thought was actually pretty good. The real highlight (I'm sure you saw this coming) was the stare down between The Ultimate Warrior and Hulk Hogan. Two of wrestling's top stars having an intense stare-down before we got to see who's the better man (a prelude to WrestleMania VI?). While I do admit having Mr. Perfect as the runner up was a good idea, it would've been better if The Ultimate Warrior was the runner up. Then the buildup for WrestleMania VI would've been more interesting and actually make the event more memorable. Mr Perfect in my opinion really wasn't ready for the main event spotlight. In my opinion, having Warrior main event was the smart choice (more on that later). Overall, on a scale of 1 to 5, I give this event a 1.5 out of 5. What's saving it from a 1 out of 5 was the intense stare-down.
I have noticed that at least once a month I've gotten quite a spike in views. While I do say thank you to those who have visited my website, I am also getting a little suspicious about this. Even if I don't post something at least once at month, I still notice views are coming in. I'm not saying that's a bad thing, but it's something I never expect. So to those who view my website, I honestly can say thank you very much. And to those who bring forth the view spikes, I hope you're potential employers. Speaking of employment, I am still on the hunt for a better job. Wally world (National Lampoon's Vacation reference for those who don't get it) isn't going very well. The pay is terrible, I'm really unhappy where I'm at, and things have taken a turn for the worse. Back in 2006, Wal Mart was actually a decent place to work. The atmosphere was better, the pay was better, and I didn't fell quite a stressed out. I regretted leaving in 2010. When I came back in 2013, I was expecting that things would be the same, but boy was I wrong. The atmosphere was worse, I became twice as stressed, and the store had a "too many chiefs and not enough Indians" philosophy. Here's what I want in my career: I did mention a few months back I want to make and edits videos. I still want to do that, and also throw in some acting as well. Once I got that going, I wouldn't mind doing some modeling. My camera can take really good pictures, and I figure that I can get my start this way. That's all for this blog. The next blog to appear will be a DVD review.
