Hello everyone. I'm here to announce that the first video in the second Vs. series (pros of prepaid phones) is in production. It shouldn't be too much longer before the video is finished. I've already done the video shooting part. What remains is recording the audio and editing. I can easily get those done in a day or so.
Hey all, the next Commander Keen review is up. A bit of a quick heads up: My next vs. series will be prepaid phones vs contract phones, so be prepared.
So there's this new app out there called Pokemon Go. How it works is that your smartphone is programmed to alter reality (sort of) and have the Pokemon come to life. People then venture out and catch them a la the actual game. Then people go to specific locations and find gyms (for what I don't know and don't care). I'll admit that I was into Pokemon back in High School. I thought it was a pretty cool concept that was successful in Japan first before reaching American shores, and reaching success here as well. It didn't hold my interest long because I knew that the craze was getting out of hand, but the games were the least of my worries. I also openly admit that the Pokemon themselves were awesome back in 1998, but nowadays it's nothing but a desperate attempt at keeping the franchise alive. The Pokemon themselves aren't that creative and the games are getting stale. And now there's an app for your smartphone? Good God! It's bad enough that Pokemon is running on desperate, but did we really need another Pokemon game? NO! We don't! Making matters worse, crime has actually gone up because of this (trespassing for starters). And yes, there are states that make "shooting a trespasser" legal. If that wasn't enough, there's already been two deaths. It's because people are falling victim to a fad that will either get themselves hurt or killed. I'm happy that I'm not a part of this because I've got more important things to worry about. I'm sorry for saying this, but if you get hurt or killed by this stupid app, that's your problem. Besides, there are other activities that people can do while outside. How about playing basketball in the frontyard? Swimming at your local water park (if you live near one). Do a yoga session outside. Something that's more rewarding than using your phone to catch invisible creatures. So Pokemon Go, do everyone a favor and just go away. Forever.
