happy thanksgiving!

11/23/2017

Hey guys, what's up?  Not much here.  Just enjoying the day off from work.
While this isn't my first holiday off from work, it is, however, my first Thanksgiving that I didn't have to work today.  It's a good feeling as well.  I won't have to worry about crowds of people when it comes to the deals.
While on topic, it makes you wonder why people don't use any sense when it comes to Thanksgiving and Black Friday.  I may have mentioned this a few years back, but for those who don't want to browse through the archives, I'll make it short and sweet.
It is true that the holidays are the busiest times for shoppers, but why on God's green earth should retailers have to let their employees suffer while other enjoy the time off with families?  To get the jump start on the report of sales?  Okay, acceptable.  But that doesn't make it right for those who have to work miss out on quality time with their families.  And Walmart is notorious for this.
I also have worked my fair share of Thanksgivings in the past, and made a vow to never shop on Thanksgiving or Black Friday ever again!
Speaking of the shopping, why is it that people waste their time and gas to get something on sale, only to return it either the next day or about a week later, only to find out it was a Thanksgiving deal only?  Ugh!  It begs the question: what were they thinking?
Fortunately for me, I won't have to deal with that mess anymore.
That's all for now, and Happy Thanksgiving to those reading this article.
