ECW!!! ECW!!! ECW!!! Three letters, one simple message: dedication to one of the most extreme (pun intended) professional wrestling organizations in history (and yes, I am aware of CZW, or Combat Zone Wrestling, and also JCW, or Juggalo Championship Wrestling. And for the record, I hate the Insane Clown Posse! Deal with it!) Before I get to the review, I do have a tiny confession: I really didn't watch ECW growing up. I was into WWF and WCW more. I look back and it made me wish I did see ECW back in the day. Enough of my confession, let's get to the review. The main question is is the DVD worth watching? The answer is you bet it is! It's one of the best documentaries I've seen (no offense to the other documentaries I watched). So what's the good? The first good is that it is uncensored, meaning the interviewees can curse and swear all they want. This DVD would've sucked if it was censored. The next good thing is that it's 3 hours long. So it's 3 hours, big deal. It is a big deal (at least to me) because this gives those involved with the old ECW a chance to tell their tale of when they were with the company. I'm pretty sure they could've gone on longer, but I'm happy with 3 hours (better than nothing, right?) The first mixed thing is that there are bonus matches. It's good because this gives the viewer who hasn't seen ECW before gets an opportunity (yes, I know that WWE Network has ECW pay per views). The bad is that one match really spoiled the bunch (won't tell you which match, though). Is there anything bad about this DVD? Of course NOT! This DVD was such a huge success, that ECW One Night Stand was created, and to make things even better, the ORIGINAL ECW Alumni partook in this event! On a scale of 1 to 5, this DVD gets a 5 out of 5! If you haven't seen this DVD, go see it NOW!!!
